The Definition of Compromise

Compromise: Selling your soul to get what you want. Which ironically, you only wanted because of your soul in the first place.  An oxymoron and contradiction (to get what you want, it must be in a form where you no longer want it).

A short list of people who are outwardly successful without compromise (inwardly, no one who compromises is successful):

  • Steve Jobs, CEO and Designer
  • Ellen Page, Actress
  • Peter Schiff, CEO and Strategist
  • Steve Perlman, Inventor
  • Scott Bryan, Chef
  • Doug Mcguff, Medical Doctor and Personal Trainer

I have in the past been too quick to accept compromise as a part of life.  It's something which I am accepting life and less, as a conscious choice, and as an unconscious expression of who I'm becoming.
